User Research Intern

As a User Research Intern at MyStory, you'll help us deeply understand the people who use our product and build something they genuinely love. You'll be instrumental in refining our path toward Product Market Fit (PMF), directly impacting what we create and how we prioritize our roadmap. If you're interested in companies like Apple, Google, Spotify, Canva—or if you aspire to launch your own product someday—this internship is an ideal stepping stone. User research is foundational to every successful product, and you'll develop skills that are crucial to any tech career. What You'll Do
  • Onboard and support a dedicated cohort of beta users
  • Conduct friendly, insightful interviews and maintain ongoing user relationships
  • Discover user motivations, challenges, and delights through engaging conversations.
  • Analyze and communicate your insights clearly to our founders, marketing, and development teams.
  • See your work directly influence the features we build and improvements we make.
  • Collaborate on building AI-driven workflows for efficient feedback analysis.
  • Serve as a user advocate across marketing and development teams, bridging user needs and product decisions.
We're Looking For
  • Genuine interest in talking with and understanding people deeply.
  • Strong communication skills and natural empathy.
  • Organizational skills to manage insights from multiple conversations.
  • Ability to identify patterns from user feedback.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm—no technical background required.
  • Background in humanities, business, design, or computer science is helpful but not necessary.
