As a UI/UX Design Intern at MyStory, you'll help standardize and evolve our video-first legacy storytelling platform's design language. Working directly with our design-minded founders, you'll bring critical perspective and systematic thinking to refine what we've built and guide our visual direction forward. This internship combines hands-on feature iteration with design library work—you'll spend your days perfecting interface details, challenging design decisions, and getting your hands dirty with code using AI tools like v0 and Cursor. • Standardize and organize our existing design components into a cohesive design library
• Iterate on features through regular sprint cycles, improving user flows and interface details
• Spend focused time perfecting UI elements—buttons, spacing, animations, micro-interactions
• Engage in critical design discussions with founders, challenging decisions and proposing improvements
• Learn to code using AI tools like v0 and Cursor to prototype and implement your designs
• Think deeply about user experience problems and craft thoughtful solutions
• Collaborate with development team while gradually taking on implementation work yourself
• Help bridge the gap between design and engineering as these disciplines converge

• Strong design intuition and a critical eye for visual and interaction details
• Organized design process and ability to think systematically about interface problems
• Portfolio that shows your design thinking process (polish less important than approach)
• Eagerness to learn coding through AI assistance—no technical background required
